I just wanted to offer an Excel tip to make this lesson easier for everyone. Not sure if you are familiar with the Subtotal function under the Data menu. If you first sort on the column you want to group together (the Payment Detail column in the lesson). The Subtotal function will insert the necessary rows and automatically subtotal each grouping with a single click.
Hey, Vicki! Amazon says that I have too many transactions to download a complete report from the Transactions view like you do in the first video, and that I can use either the All Statements or Date Range Reports tabs to get that information. Date Range Reports are very much a different format, but would you process either of those any differently than the default you’ve got here? Are the Date Range Reports usable at all in this process, since they don’t split shipping, sales tax, etc out onto separate transaction lines?
Hi Andy, That’s a really great problem to have! Yes, you will be able to use the process, but it will look a little different. I have made a habit lately to download the Date Range Report for each of my Payment Statements. It actually helps to pick out the Marketplace Facilitator Tax and Shipping Credit/Chargeback. Since several new states have come on-board this year for the MPF tax, it just makes sense to add this step.
I added a lesson “600 Transactions Or More Need Different Reports” to explain how to use the required reports.

Terri,
Great tip. I added an Excel Quick Tip to this lesson. Thanks for sharing.

For private label sellers do we add Advertising Fees in as a Selling Fee?
I would add them as selling fees if they are in your payment statement. Adjust your worksheet accordingly. They will go on the bottom AP portion.
